Due to the endeavours of Jeremy Gilley, founder of the not-for-profit organisation Peace One Day, the 21st September has been declared the first-ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence. Peace One Day now works to create global awareness of 'Peace Day' and to manifest life-saving activity and individual action throughout the world on September 21st each year. As part of this action Freefall Theatre Co. UK in collaboration with associated artist Zoë Cobb of Nautica are producing CEASEFIRE: PIECES FOR PEACE - an evening of performance and music to celebrate Peace Day, inviting emerging artists to engage with issues surrounding conflict and the path towards international peace.
